Venmo x Starbucks Rewards

Design a digital campaign for a limited-time Starbucks offer.
In February 2023, Venmo partnered with Starbucks to run a co-marketing campaign offering a limited-time reward for users who added Venmo as a payment method in the Starbucks app. Users were targeted through paid ads, social ads and owned media. I created the Venmo-owned assets for this campaign.

Approach
We were shared on Starbucks’ creative approach for this co-marketing campaign, so I used that as a jumping-off point for Venmo’s deliverables to create consistency between both. In order to reinforce the partnership, we used Venmo greens to emulate a Starbucks feel.
There's a large crossover between Venmo users and people who use the Starbucks app. This played a role in how we wrote and designed these deliverables. One challenge was to figure out what Starbucks UI would be most intuitive and visually helpful to email readers.
Result
“Incredible” adoption of Pay with Venmo.
Over 26,000 users adopted Pay with Venmo through just these Venmo-owned touchpoints, and 80% of those who received an offer email redeemed their reward.
